LOTʼS WIFE - LOVE LIFE, NOT THINGS!

Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens. But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:24, 26 NIV)

The world is obsessed with material things: turn on the tv and youʼll see commercials promoting the fanciest cars, the most expensive jewelry, and the finest things to buy. Just as the two ancient sin cities, the world is still all about greed, lust, pride, and corruption. It hasnʼt changed a bit, and clearly, the world is messed up.

On the contrary, the Bible speaks the truth: "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what would a man give as an exchange for his life?" (Matthew 16:26 AMP). Set your priorities in the right order ‐ God first, then people, then things! Indeed, that is life.

If you are rich in this present world, donʼt be arrogant nor put your hope in wealth, which is so uncertain; but put your hope in God, who richly provides you with everything for your enjoyment. Do good and be rich in good deeds, and always be generous and willing to share. In this way you will lay up treasure for yourself as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that you may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Love people, not things; use things, not people. Do remember that some of lifeʼs greatest enjoyments are not even found in material possessions. Do not be like the lady in the painting: for the love of the world she did not only forfeit her own soul when she looked back, but also her family. It isnʼt a legend or a myth, but a true story. The Dead Sea with its high mineral content stands as a testimony of a timeless lesson with the, then, entertainment capitals of the world ‐ Sodom & Gomorrah ‐ and a pillar of salt buried under it. ISTRI LOT ~ CINTAI HIDUP, BUKAN BENDA!

Kemudian TUHAN menurunkan hujan belerang dan api atas Sodom dan Gomora, berasal dari TUHAN, dari langit; Tetapi isteri Lot, yang berjalan mengikutnya, menoleh ke belakang, lalu menjadi tiang garam.”
(Kejadian 19:24, 26)

Dunia terobsesi dengan hal-hal materi: nyalakan TV dan anda akan melihat iklan mempromosikan mobil-mobil paling bagus, perhiasan paling mahal, dan hal-hal terbaik untuk dibeli. Sama seperti dua kota kuno yang berdosa, dunia masih tentang keserakahan, nafsu, kesombongan, dan korupsi. Dunia belum berubah sedikit pun, dan jelas, dunia ini kacau.

Sebaliknya, Alkitab mengatakan kebenaran: “Apa gunanya seorang memperoleh seluruh dunia tetapi kehilangan nyawanya? Dan apakah yang dapat diberikannya sebagai ganti nyawanya?” (Matius 16:26). Tetapkan prioritas anda dalam urutan yang benar—Tuhan pertama, lalu manusia, lalu benda! Sungguh, itulah hidup.

Jika anda kaya di dunia saat ini, janganlah menjadi sombong dan berharap pada kekayaan, yang sangat tidak pasti; tetapi berharaplah pada Tuhan, yang dengan kayanya menyediakan segalanya untuk anda nikmati. Berbuatlah baik dan jadilah kaya dalam perbuatan baik, dan selalu bermurah hati serta mau berbagi. Dengan cara ini anda akan menumpuk harta bagi diri sendiri sebagai fondasi yang kuat untuk masa yang akan datang, supaya anda dapat memperoleh hidup yang sesungguhnya.

Cintai orang, bukan benda; manfaatkan barang, bukan orang. Ingatlah bahwa beberapa kenikmatan terbesar dalam hidup bahkan tidak ditemukan dalam harta benda. HE UNDERSTANDS

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
(Hebrews‬ 4:15-16‬)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

God was flesh and blood in Christ and He shared our humanity. This painting reminds us to never feel lonely in our frailty since He can empathize with our weaknesses. Jesus was tried as a human being, so He understands.

Our Savior was tempted in every way, just as we are, yet He was without sin. Triumphant and relevant, Jesus felt what we feel and walked where we walk. We can rest assured that He can now help us in our time of need, to give us the victory when Satan comes to persuade us to take the wrong action.

As Jesus exemplified in the wilderness, so should we know and use God’s Word as an effective weapon against Satan’s deception. Too often we see temptation as once and for all. In reality, we need to be constantly on guard against the devil. Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with confidence. For when we do, we will not merely receive mercy and find grace—but we will meet a High Priest who understands!

DIA MENGERTI

“Sebab Imam Besar yang kita punya, bukanlah imam besar yang tidak dapat turut merasakan kelemahan-kelemahan kita, sebaliknya sama dengan kita, Ia telah dicobai, hanya tidak berbuat dosa. Sebab itu marilah kita dengan penuh keberanian menghampiri takhta kasih karunia, supaya kita menerima rahmat dan menemukan kasih karunia untuk mendapat pertolongan kita pada waktunya.”
(Ibrani 4:15-16)

Allah adalah darah dan daging di dalam Kristus dan Dia turut merasakan kemanusiaan kita. Lukisan ini mengingatkan kita untuk jangan pernah merasa sendirian dalam kerapuhan kita sebab Dia bisa berempati dengan kelemahan kita. Yesus dicobai sebagai manusia, jadi Dia mengerti.

Juruselamat kita dicobai dalam segala hal, sama seperti kita, namun Dia tanpa dosa. Sebagai Pemenang dan relevan, Yesus merasakan apa yang kita rasakan dan berjalan di mana kita berjalan. Yakinlah bahwa Dia sekarang dapat menolong kita di saat kita membutuhkan, untuk memberi kita kemenangan ketika Setan datang untuk membujuk kita mengambil tindakan yang salah.

Seperti yang diteladankan Yesus di padang gurun, kita juga harus tahu dan menggunakan firman Tuhan sebagai senjata yang efektif untuk melawan tipu daya Setan. Terlalu sering kita menganggap pencobaan hanya terjadi sekali untuk selamanya. Pada kenyataannya, kita harus terus berjaga-jaga terhadap iblis. Karena itu, marilah kita menghadap takhta kasih karunia dengan percaya diri. Karena ketika kita melakukannya, kita tidak hanya akan menerima rahmat dan menemukan kasih karunia—tetapi kita akan bertemu dengan Imam Besar yang mengerti!

ELIJAH - THE FATHERʼS HEART

“Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse. (Malachi 4:5-6)

In this fallen world, there are spiritual orphans. We see the fatherless spirits manifest themselves in so many ways in troubled souls. Everywhere there are victim mentalities, the spirits of rejection, the cries for acceptance, the addictions for attention, the cravings for acknowledgement, and the endless drives to prove oneself. Without true relationship with God the earth is just one big, lonely orphanage. The land, thus, needs not be stricken with a curse for it already is, as the end of sonship is the beginning of accursed hardship. This calls for a drastic measure - Elijahʼs ministry!

Elijahʼs preaching ministry has long survived his earthly presence. It is a timeless message that still resounds to this day. Taken alive into heaven in a fiery chariot, the man of God left behind a legacy and a continuing mission to offer sonship to a fatherless world. Turning strayed hearts to God, the spirit of Elijah - the Holy Spirit - continues to translate the heartbeat of Daddy God to us, which can be summed up in these liberating words:

"Child, I love you just as you are. Nothing you do or do not do can make me love you less or more, for I have loved you with an everlasting love. Who you are is not determined by what you do, but by what my word says concerning you. I have the best plan for your life, and I call you by your name. Be whom I have called you to be and do what I have chosen you to do. Love as you have been loved. Abba Father is with you!"

Once, the great prophet called down fire upon the altar He built for Godʼs Old-Testament people. Dreadful flames descended hard, signifying the Lordʼs arrival on Israelʼs atoning sacrifice. Decoding this holy incident by the heart of a son, I must declare that It was not (just) fire that came down. I am sure the red, blazing inferno was really the Fatherʼs bleeding heart!

ELIA – HATI BAPA

“Sesungguhnya Aku akan mengutus nabi Elia kepadamu menjelang datangnya hari TUHAN yang besar dan dahsyat itu. Maka ia akan membuat hati bapa-bapa berbalik kepada anak-anaknya dan hati anak-anak kepada bapa-bapanya supaya jangan Aku datang memukul bumi sehingga musnah.”
(Maleakhi 4:5-6)

Di dalam dunia yang jatuh dalam dosa ini, ada banyak anak yatim piatu secara rohani. Kita melihat roh-roh yatim piatu bermanifestasi dengan berbagai macam cara di dalam jiwa-jiwa yang bermasalah. Di mana-mana ada mentalitas korban, roh penolakan, teriakan meminta penerimaan, kecanduan akan perhatian, rasa haus akan pengakuan, dan dorongan tak berujung untuk membuktikan diri. Tanpa hubungan yang sejati dengan Tuhan, bumi hanyalah sebuah panti asuhan besar yang sepi. Oleh karena itu, dunia yang sudah terkutuk ini tidak perlu dipukul lagi dengan kutuk, sebab berakhirnya hati anak adalah awal dari kutukan dan penderitaan. Keadaan ini membutuhkan langkah drastis – pelayanan Elia!

Pelayanan kotbah Elia jauh melampaui masa kehadirannya di bumi. Pesan yang disampaikan olehnya tidak lekang oleh jaman dan masih menggema hingga hari ini. Diangkat hidup-hidup ke sorga dengan kereta kuda berapi, hamba Tuhan ini meninggalkan sebuah warisan dan misi yang terus berlanjut untuk menawarkan hati anak kepada dunia tanpa bapa. Roh Elia – Roh Kudus – senantiasa membuat hati yang merana berbalik kepada Bapa dengan cara menterjemahkan detak jantung Abba kepada kita, yang dapat dirangkum dalam kata-kata berikut ini yang sanggup memerdekakan kita:

“AnakKu, Aku mengasihimu apa adanya. Tidak ada perbuatanmu yang dapat membuat kasihKu kepadamu berkurang maupun bertambah, sebab Aku telah mengasihimu dengan kasih yang kekal. Siapa dirimu tidak ditentukan oleh apa yang kau perbuat, melainkan oleh perkataanKu tentangmu. Aku memiliki rancangan yang terbaik bagi hidupmu, dan Aku memanggilmu dengan namamu. Jadilah sesuai dengan kehendakKu dan perbuatlah sesuai rencanaKu. Kasihi seperti engkau telah dikasihi. Abba Bapa menyertaimu!”

Dulu, nabi yang hebat itu menurunkan api dari langit untuk membakar mezbah yang dia bangun untuk umat Tuhan di jaman Perjanjian Lama. Api yang mengerikan itu turun dengan dahsyat, sebagai tanda kedatangan Tuhan atas korban penebusan Israel. Jika kejadian yang kudus itu ditafsirkan dari sudut pandang hati seorang anak, saya percaya yang turun dari langit bukan hanya api semata. Saya yakin kobaran berwarna merah menyala itu adalah hati Bapa yang berdarah!

BABY MOSES — GOD BE WITH YOU, MY CHILD!

“The woman became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She saw that he was a special baby and kept him hidden for three months. But when she could no longer hide him, she got a basket made of papyrus reeds and waterproofed it with tar and pitch. She put the baby in the basket and laid it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile River.”
(Exodus‬ 2:2-3‬)‬‬

My child, this painting is our prophetic word to you. It serves as a special revelation to us that a deliverer should spring from our flesh and blood. Sweetheart, you have come into the world bringing primitive grace from above: before you can do or say anything, hearts melt at your sight. In fact, God has put an early strength in you, so much so that even the most notoriously stubborn people such as Pharaoh’s daughter was to baby Moses, will bow their hearts to favor you.

You are a special baby, and indeed, a specimen of future glory. You are a living hope for our family. We will do our best to keep you hidden from the pollution of the world. We will put you in the basket of a God-fearing home, made of spiritual papyrus reeds (unconditional love); and waterproof your childhood with spiritual pitch (prayer) and tar (the Word) in order to prepare you to fulfill your grand design. Know that you have been marked for great things, for life.

When many innocent children are spiritually butchered by Satan, you are wonderfully preserved. Someday, we will have to release you into the world, along the bank of the spiritual Nile River. That day, as you lay among the reeds of uncertainty, awaiting the arms of providence and destiny to discover you and lift you up, please remember these words I now whisper to your heart: “God be with you, my child!”

“lalu mengandunglah ia dan melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki. Ketika dilihatnya, bahwa anak itu cantik, disembunyikannya tiga bulan lamanya. Tetapi ia tidak dapat menyembunyikannya lebih lama lagi, sebab itu diambilnya sebuah peti pandan, dipakalnya dengan gala-gala dan ter, diletakkannya bayi itu di dalamnya dan ditaruhnya peti itu di tengah-tengah teberau di tepi sungai Nil;”
(Keluaran 2:2-3)

Anakku, lukisan ini adalah perkataan profetik kami untukmu. Sebuah pewahyuan spesial bagi kami bahwa seorang pembebas harus muncul dari daging dan darah kami. Kesayangan kami, engkau telah datang ke dunia membawa kasih karunia primitif dari atas: sebelum kamu bisa melakukan apapun atau berbicara, hati meleleh saat melihatmu. Ketika banyak anak yang tidak bersalah dibantai secara rohani oleh Setan, kamu dipelihara dengan sangat indah. Suatu hari, kami harus melepaskanmu ke dunia, di sepanjang tepi Sungai Nil secara rohani. Hari itu, ketika engkau berbaring di antara alang-alang ketidakpastian, menunggu lengan pemeliharaan dan takdir untuk menemukanmu dan mengangkatmu, ingatlah kata-kata yang aku bisikkan ke dalam hatimu ini: "Allah menyertaimu, anakku!"

In This House We Wash Each Other`s Feet

“After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, “Do you understand what I was doing? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet.”
(John 13:12-14)

Please observe this painting; what you could see might be what God is saying to you. Let us begin with the purposefully-faceless people, so that you may imagine yourself to be one of them. Which one are you? One of those sitting around the dining table, the one who is washing the feet, or the one whose feet are being washed? Nevertheless, the act of service or the demonstration of the servant heart always produces interesting reactions of the onlookers, as the body languages of the three witnesses on this drawing suggest. Touched. Puzzled. Inspired.

Moving on to the next noteworthy detail, please pay attention to the hyperbolic size of the foot being washed and its darker color compared to the rest of his body. Do you understand what I was drawing and what God is saying? Too frequently, our feeling exaggerates our reality. The feet are the part of the body that touch the earth. Our worldliness. How they need spiritual cleansing everyday in Christ’s presence and perspective. The Teacher and the Lord—Jesus— desires to minister to our heart to bring us back to the basic joy in life, that is, to serve God and people humbly as He has served us. As we follow His example, He will give us the power to influence the world and not be affected by it. Notice how clear the water remains in the basin after a dirty foot is soaked in it. It serves to remind us of the profound truth.

Finally, do you spot the empty plates and cups even though dinner seems to have begun? As long as Christ is Lord of our home, physical delicacies and material blessings should not matter the most. The spiritual atmosphere of our family comes from each other’s servant-like attitude, which always places the needs and interests of others before our own. This culture is inevitably visible during meals, with the eldest member to the youngest taking turns to pour drinks, serve food, and do the smallest tasks for one another in the name of love. Jesus has taught us well. In this house we wash each other’s feet!

Kamu menyebut Aku Guru dan Tuhan, dan katamu itu tepat, sebab memang Akulah Guru dan Tuhan. Jadi jikalau Aku membasuh kakimu, Aku yang adalah Tuhan dan Gurumu, maka kamupun wajib saling membasuh kakimu.”

Amatilah lukisan ini; apa yang dapat anda lihat mungkin adalah apa yang Tuhan sedang katakan kepada anda. Mari kita mulai dengan orang-orang yang sengaja tidak berwajah, sehingga anda dapat membayangkan diri anda menjadi salah satu dari mereka. Yang manakah anda? Apakah yang sedang duduk di dekat meja makan, yang sedang membasuh kaki, atau yang sedang dibasuh kakinya? Ketika kita mengikuti teladan-Nya, Dia akan memberi kita kuasa untuk mempengaruhi dunia dan tidak terkhamiri olehnya. Perhatikan betapa jernihnya sisa air di baskom setelah kaki kotor terendam di dalamnya. Ini untuk mengingatkan kita akan kebenaran yang mendalam tersebut.

Yang terakhir, apakah anda melihat piring dan gelas kosong meskipun makan malam tampaknya sudah dimulai? Selama Kristus adalah Tuhan atas rumah kami, kelezatan fisik dan berkat materi bukanlah yang terpenting. Atmosfir rohani keluarga kami berasal dari sikap saling melayani satu sama lain, yang selalu menempatkan kebutuhan dan kepentingan orang lain di atas kepentingan kami sendiri. Budaya ini tak terhindarkan akan terlihat saat kami makan, dengan anggota tertua hingga termuda bergantian menuangkan minuman, menyajikan makanan, dan melakukan tugas terkecil satu sama lain atas nama kasih. Yesus telah mengajari kami dengan baik. Di rumah ini kami saling membasuh kaki!

SHOFAR

“When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the Lord your God and rescued from your enemies.”
(Numbers 10:9)

The shofar is a musical instrument made from a ram`s horn and it makes a trumpet-like sound. It was used during worship at the Tabernacle and Temple, and sounded when the Ark of the Covenant was returned to the camp. Shofar is a Hebrew word (שופר) that comes from a root meaning beauty. At the signal of this ancient praise instrument, heaven’s ruling angels join God’s messianic people to worship the Lord in the beauty of His holy city.

There are a few ways to blow the shofar: a long single blast to proclaim the king’s coronation, three short wail-like blasts heralding repentance, nine staccato blasts of alarm to awaken the dawn, and a great long blast for as long as you can blow to declare that the Lord is God.

As the horn takes in the breath at one end and sends out at the other, breathe in the Spirit of the Lord and you will breathe out shouts of victory. Be the living shofar. Hear the sounds of war inside yourself, preparing you for battle against sin and oppression. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a rousing cry and rescue you, O spiritual Jerusalem, from your enemies!

SHOFAR

“Dan apabila kamu maju berperang di negerimu melawan musuh yang menyesakkan kamu, kamu harus memberi tanda semboyan dengan nafiri, supaya kamu diingat di hadapan TUHAN, Allahmu, dan diselamatkan dari pada musuhmu.”
(Bilangan 10:9)

Shofar adalah alat musik yang terbuat dari tanduk domba jantan yang berbunyi seperti terompet. Shofar dimainkan selama penyembahan di Tabernakel dan di Bait Suci, dan dibunyikan ketika Tabut Perjanjian dikembalikan ke perkemahan. Shofar adalah kata Ibrani (שופר) yang berasal dari akar kata keindahan. Ketika instrumen pujian kuno ini dibunyikan, para malaikat di sorga bergabung dengan umat mesianis Allah untuk menyembah Tuhan dalam keindahan kota suci-Nya.

Ada beberapa cara untuk meniup shofar: satu tiupan panjang untuk menyatakan penobatan raja, tiga tiupan pendek seperti ratapan menandakan pertobatan, sembilan tiupan hentakan alarm untuk membangunkan fajar, dan satu tiupan yang sangat panjang—selama mungkin yang bisa kita tiup—untuk menyerukan bahwa Allah adalah Tuhan.

Ketika tanduk itu menarik nafas di satu ujung dan mengeluarkannya di ujung yang lain, tariklah napas dalam Roh Tuhan dan engkau akan menghembuskan pekik kemenangan. Jadilah shofar hidup. Dengarkan suara perang di dalam dirimu, yang mempersiapkan engkau untuk berperang melawan dosa dan penindasan. Karena Tuhan sendiri akan turun dari sorga dengan sorakan yang membangkitkan dan menyelamatkanmu, hai Yerusalem rohani, dari musuh-musuhmu!

THROW YOUR NET ON THE RIGHT

“He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.” (John 21:6)

A carpenter’s son took a band of seasoned fishermen to school right on the ocean. The Son of Joseph, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, was about to transform the lives of a number of Galilean sailors as He taught them the unforgettable lesson of trusting not in human might.

Truth be told, neither the left or right had ever been the right side of the boat to throw the disciples’ net which could guarantee success or results. The key to the miraculous finding of fish itself was found in none other than Jesus’ sovereign words—because His Word was God’s Word. As a matter of fact, He is the Word; Jesus, the Son of God, is the Word of life. Therefore, let us obey Him.

The simplistic instruction to throw the net on the right has such a deep, profound meaning to it. Conceivably, in doing so, the fish hunters had to be denied their right-handed might as the basal or principal pulling force since the net was on their right-hand side. Now they must fall upon their weaker left arms to haul the net in, in case of a catch. Noticeably, the Master’s message in this story—and through this painting—could not have been mistaken: only when we cease to believe in ourselves is God’s power manifested; for it is in our weakness that His power is made perfect. And as long as we rely on our own wisdom and depend on our strength, there shall be no large number of fish in our net!

TEBARKANLAH JALAMU DI SEBELAH KANAN

“Maka kata Yesus kepada mereka: "Tebarkanlah jalamu di sebelah kanan perahu, maka akan kamu peroleh." Lalu mereka menebarkannya dan mereka tidak dapat menariknya lagi karena banyaknya ikan.” (Yohanes 21:6)

Seorang anak tukang kayu segera membawa sekelompok nelayan yang berpengalaman ke “sekolah” tepat di atas lautan. Anak Yusuf, Yesus Kristus dari Nazaret, akan mengubah kehidupan sejumlah pelaut Galilea ketika Dia mengajarkan kepada mereka sebuah pelajaran yang tak terlupakan untuk tidak mengandalkan kekuatan manusia.

Sesungguhnya, baik kiri atau kanan bukanlah patokan sisi mana yang benar dari perahu untuk menjamin kesuksesan atau hasil ketika para murid melemparkan jalanya. Kunci untuk mendapatkan ikan secara mujizat tidak dapat ditemukan selain di dalam kata-kata Yesus yang berdaulat—karena firman-Nya adalah firman Allah. Bahkan, Dialah Firman; Yesus, Anak Allah, adalah Firman kehidupan. Karena itu, marilah kita menaati-Nya.

Instruksi sederhana untuk menebarkan jala di sebelah kanan memiliki makna yang mendalam. Dapat dibayangkan, ketika menebarkan jala di sebelah kanan, para pemburu ikan tidak dapat menggunakan kekuatan tangan kanan mereka sebagai gaya tarik utama karena jala itu berada di sisi kanan mereka. Sekarang mereka harus mengandalkan lengan kiri mereka yang lebih lemah untuk menarik jaring, jika ada tangkapan. Sangat jelas, pesan Guru dalam kisah ini—dan melalui lukisan ini—tidak mungkin salah: hanya ketika kita berhenti mengandalkan diri sendiri maka kuasa Tuhan dinyatakan; karena justru dalam kelemahanlah kuasa-Nya menjadi sempurna. Dan selama kita mengandalkan hikmat dan kekuatan kita sendiri, tidak akan ada banyak ikan dalam jala kita!

Guardian of my soul is Jesus. My invisible Parent is He. He knows me better than I know myself. Because He carries me near His heart, I will not be afraid.

He makes me feel so secure that the grass always seems greener on my side, He leads me where true peace is, He makes me laugh.

“He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”
He helps me be at the right place and at the right time to meet the right people.

Worse comes to worst, even if I lose everything, I’d still have You; Your discipline and defense over me, they make me feel important.

GEMBALAKU

Indeed, the Kingdom of God is a bountiful country; it welcomes and awaits you. Please exit your sinful lifestyle at once and leave your Egypt behind. Enter God`s world where the land is flowing with supernatural milk and honey. Explore a world of possibilities for your future when God is on your side. Moreover, repent from being a small thinker who only notices the hole in a donut instead of the dough!

Keep in mind that God is not preparing the blessing for you, but He is preparing you for the blessing. It is not your business or ministry that He enlarges. He enlarges you. Then, when your personal limitations have been supernaturally stretched, there will be no limit to what you can do. The sky will no longer be your ceiling nor the ends of earth your boundary. Masukilah dunia Tuhan di mana negerinya berlimpah-limpah susu dan madunya yang supranatural. Jelajahilah dunia tanpa batas untuk masa depan anda ketika Tuhan ada di pihak anda. Lebih lagi, bertobatlah dari pikiran yang sempit yang hanya melihat lubang di setiap donat dan bukan donatnya!

Ingatlah bahwa Tuhan tidak mempersiapkan berkat untuk anda, tetapi sebaliknya, Dia mempersiapkan anda untuk berkat itu. Bukan bisnis atau pelayanan anda yang akan Dia perbesar. Dia memperbesar anda. Kemudian, ketika keterbatasan pribadi anda diperlebar secara supranatural, tidak akan ada yang dapat membatasi anda. Langit bukan lagi atap maupun ujung bumi perbatasan anda. Inilah jenis buah yang tanah perjanjian hasilkan: Kebesaran. Saudaraku, kebesaran itu dimulai dari dalam anda!

“When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!”
(Luke‬ 5:4-6)

If you wish to catch some fish, go out where it is deeper. Deepen your relationship with the Master of all creation, before you let down your nets to haul in your catch of the day.

If you wish to catch a miracle, go out of your box so that God can do something new. Believe the Master of your heart, not in your training or preceding experiences. If He says so, even though you may have worked hard all night without having fished even a plankton, let down your nets once again in sheer obedience.

If you wish to encounter your miraculous catch, then let the Master catch you first. As He does, miracles will grab you. That time when their trawls began to tear, it was not Simon’s nets that had caught the fish. Believe it or not, it was the fish that had caught his nets!

TANGKAPAN MUJIZATMU

“Setelah selesai berbicara, Ia berkata kepada Simon: "Bertolaklah ke tempat yang dalam dan tebarkanlah jalamu untuk menangkap ikan." Simon menjawab: "Guru, telah sepanjang malam kami bekerja keras dan kami tidak menangkap apa-apa, tetapi karena Engkau menyuruhnya, aku akan menebarkan jala juga." Dan setelah mereka melakukannya, mereka menangkap sejumlah besar ikan, sehingga jala mereka mulai koyak.”
(Lukas 5: 4-6)

Jika anda ingin menangkap ikan, pergilah ke tempat yang lebih dalam. Perdalam hubunganmu dengan Guru segala ciptaan, sebelum engkau menebarkan jalamu untuk mengangkut tangkapanmu hari itu.

Jika engkau ingin menangkap mujizat, pergilah keluar dari kotakmu agar Tuhan dapat melakukan sesuatu yang baru. Percayalah kepada Guru hatimu, bukan kepada pelatihan atau pengalamanmu sebelumnya. Karena Dia menyuruhnya, meskipun telah sepanjang malam engkau bekerja keras dan tidak menangkap apa-apa termasuk seekor plankton saja, tebarkanlah jalamu sekali lagi dalam ketaatan semata-mata.

Jika engkau ingin memperoleh tangkapan mujizatmu, maka ijinkan Guru menangkapmu terlebih dahulu. Saat Dia melakukannya, mujizat akan menangkapmu. Ketika jala mereka mulai koyak, bukan jala Simon yang menangkap ikan. Percaya atau tidak, ikan-ikanlah yang telah menangkap jalanya!

“After washing their feet, he put on his robe again and sat down and asked, “Do you understand what I was doing? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am. And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet.”
(John 13:12-14)

Please observe this painting; what you could see might be what God is saying to you. Let us begin with the purposefully-faceless people, so that you may imagine yourself to be one of them. Which one are you? One of those sitting around the dining table, the one who is washing the feet, or the one whose feet are being washed? Nevertheless, the act of service or the demonstration of the servant heart always produces interesting reactions of the onlookers, as the body languages of the three witnesses on this drawing suggest. Touched. Puzzled. Inspired.

Moving on to the next noteworthy detail, please pay attention to the hyperbolic size of the foot being washed and its darker color compared to the rest of his body. Do you understand what I was drawing and what God is saying? Too frequently, our feeling exaggerates our reality. The feet are the part of the body that touch the earth. Our worldliness. How they need spiritual cleansing everyday in Christ’s presence and perspective. The Teacher and the Lord—Jesus— desires to minister to our heart to bring us back to the basic joy in life, that is, to serve God and people humbly as He has served us. As we follow His example, He will give us the power to influence the world and not be affected by it. Notice how clear the water remains in the basin after a dirty foot is soaked in it. It serves to remind us of the profound truth.

Finally, do you spot the empty plates and cups even though dinner seems to have begun? As long as Christ is Lord of our home, physical delicacies and material blessings should not matter the most. The spiritual atmosphere of our family comes from each other’s servant-like attitude, which always places the needs and interests of others before our own. This culture is inevitably visible during meals, with the eldest member to the youngest taking turns to pour drinks, serve food, and do the smallest tasks for one another in the name of love. Jesus has taught us well. In this house we wash each other’s feet!
